Grapevine Businesses Pivot and Prepare for 2026

News, Blog
To say that 2025 started out bumpy would be an understatement. For most of the calendar year, business owners and executives have faced an unpredictable market filled with lingering inflation, surprise trends, and delayed rebounds. Across most major industry sectors, the prevailing attitude is now one of cautious optimism. Hoteliers anticipate a travel rebound soon, and retailers are gearing up for the all-important winter shopping season. Firms around the country took advantage of an economic lull to strategize and invest, which should mean growth in the years ahead. Here in Grapevine, employers of nearly every size are positioning themselves in the same way.
If you’ve been watching the market carefully, that observation won’t come as a surprise. There have been a wealth of project announcements this year, from new hotel construction to spinoffs, expansions, and relocations of beloved Grapevine businesses. Our market, it seems, will join the majority of the country in expecting resurgence. Here are the major projects you can expect in the next 12-18 months…

Main Street: Expansions and Relocations
Multiple staples in the Historic District will receive a face lift before the year ends, with Dr. Sue's Chocolates relocating to a new storefront closer to the train station, Talking Animals Books launching a second location across from Harvest Hall, and the Wildflower Outlaws taking their Western Bohemian style from online-only sales to a special spot on Main Street. Landmark Coffee opened beside Nomad with rousing success, and a tenant shuffle near the South end of the district will also mean new digs and fresh looks for Little Orange Fish and Weinberger's Deli in early 2026.
Hospitality: Complimentary Upgrades
Grapevine's already-stellar hotel market is primed for a huge step up in the years ahead. The Gaylord Texan and Great Wolf Lodge announced upgrades and expansions to start the year, then Hotel Vin followed suit with a capacity-doubling second tower now in the works. The City will also see new construction at Crossroads and in the Silverlake Development, with a double-branded Hilton property ready to break ground at the former and a recently announced AC Hotel moving forward at the latter.
Entertainment: Grapevine Mills Takes Another Leap Forward

Dig World, a construction-themed play park for guests of all ages, is in the final stages of permitting and should be fully operational just outside Grapevine Mills in 2026. Inside the mall, Bubble Planet will increase guest magnetism with photo ops and themed exhibits in place of Forever 21... regulars need not fear the loss of their beloved cut-through, however: Mills staff have confirmed a new one is under construction now. Just down the road, City Futsal plans to launch fully programmed, small-sided soccer just in time for a surge of interest around the World Cup.
Registers Ringing Around Town
Pottery Barn Outletis in the early stages of development at Grapevine Towne Center, but is on pace to bring their furniture and home goods to the area within the next year. Elsewhere, the former Scooter's has found new life as Caribou Coffee and speculative retail spaces along Northwest Highway have nearly filled out already.
With DFW trending in the right direction and Grapevine in the center of it all, you can bet those won’t be the last announcements to look forward to next year! Want to stay in the loop on all things Grapevine? Subscribe to the ‘Growing Grapevine’ podcast and eNewsletter today!
