The summer surge of great retail and dining continues in Grapevine! While financiers are pulling back on office, warehouse, and multifamily development around the country, consumer attitudes have created new confidence in the retail market. More and more shopping centers are looking to diversify their offerings, and retailers are hunting for ways to distinguish themselves from the pack. Here's a look at a few of the concepts that have opened (or will soon) here in Grapevine, according to Certificates of Occupancy issued by our Building Services department.
Beth Marie's Ice Cream: Old Fashioned, But Never Dull
An iconic piece of Denton's downtown is now the cherry on top of ours! Known for its charm as well as an assortment of classic and innovative flavors, Beth Marie's Old Fashioned Ice Cream is a verified Go Texan product, made here in the Lone Star State and sold fresh to you from one of more than 40 tubs in two cabinets here in the Historic District. With temperatures rising and the travel season settling in, we fully expect Main Street to become a cold cone zone.
Let Pollo Regio Handle the Grill This Summer
The smell of charcoal and smoked meat is an essential part of Texas summer, but we've all had days when there's not enough time to get the ritual right. If you're looking for something special that doesn't demand hours of your time, the folks at Pollo Regio are the perfect resource. Specializing in authentic, Mexican-style grilled chicken with a marinade that took Chef Bazaldua from a food truck in Monterrey to a quick-service empire, this new addition to the ring road at Grapevine Mills is sure to impress even the peck-iest eaters.
Nothing Resets a Tired Texan Like Well-Earned Sleep
If there's anything as sure as barbecue here in Texas, it's the summer swoon. Whether you've worn out your bed from naps or sweat right through it on the first triple-digit day of every year, you'll find more than a replacement at Reset Innovative Bedding: you'll be able to snag yourself an upgrade. Grapevine Mills is now home to their collection of smart beds, soft goods, and massage chairs; so you know exactly where to go if that hot memory foam mattress just won't cut it anymore.
Time to BillyGO Big or BillyGO Home
Fans of the ‘Growing Grapevine’ podcast may recognize billyGO as the innovative tech company wearing the coverall uniform of a plumbing and HVAC service company that made Grapevine its home base a few years ago. They've grown so fast that their main office on Minters Chapel can't contain all the awesomeness inside, and they recently added a combination warehouse and office to their real estate portfolio here in the City. We'd say that will make them even more efficient, but they're already home of the 1-hour appointment… so it's tough to imagine room for improvement!
Ready to Rock (& Brew) on 114
A year after Velvet Taco and Son of a Butcher revolutionized the old Payton Wright Ford dealership, long-awaited flagship restaurant Rock & Brews is getting amped for opening day. Certificates of Occupancy sometimes precede the start of service, so hungry patrons should be advised that this one-of-a-kind venue won't officially open for a few more weeks. But we think you'll want to be there for the curtain call… you might even stick around for an encore.
