Blog, News

Our monthly new business reports are usually celebrations of the diverse economy here in Grapevine. But now and then, a unique trend emerges. A fact pattern that needs to be explored, understood, and celebrated. This is one of those months. While we're happy to showcase a few of Grapevine's awesome new retailers - and we don't have space to list all the healthcare providers who opened their doors in the last 30 days - a chunk of this month's list is devoted to a surge in restaurant openings and expansions. Here's the breakdown:

What's More Fun Than a Barrel of Monkeys? Three Barrels of Beer

Following the pandemic, the trend for most restaurants has been to downsize, focus on efficiency, and reduce overhead. The exception? Social spaces. Now that Americans have become painfully aware of our need for interaction, family-friendly gathering areas are a premium draw. The folks at Three Barrels Beer Garden (an extension of the Ferrari's restaurant family) understand that. Now offering private bookings, events, and happy hour deals from 4:00-7:00, Three Barrels is well-positioned to become a beloved local hangout.

For Managed Services, Envoy is IT

Large organizations have massive Information Technology departments to manage all their devices, software, and integrated systems. But not everyone can afford the staff required to run big systems efficiently. If your organization has massive needs but can't take on an equally massive payroll, managed services are an efficient way to tackle that disparity. Envoy provides support for everything from IT infrastructure to cloud services, promising a proactive partnership that can “enhance profitability and peace of mind.” They just took up residence on Texan Trail, which puts them closer to Grapevine businesses than ever before.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe and Dunkin' Go South

You're not imagining things: both Dunkin' and Tropical Smoothie Cafe have appeared in this list previously. And recently, at that! Each vendor opened a store on the City's North side early in 2024, and now both are staking claims closer to our Southern border. You'll find the new locations along Glade Road on the East side of Highway 121, nestled into a residential area near Chicken N Pickle and Vineyard Marketplace (the center containing Hobby Lobby). That expansion echoes a broader restaurant trend: Quick Service establishments blossomed during and after the pandemic thanks to budget-friendly prices and curbside pickup options.

No One Can Touch Up Your Upholstery Like Angel's

Is there a couch or a chair in your house that you love to pieces… literally? Consider this specialty retailer your guardian angel. The team at Angel's Upholstery specializes in refurbishment and custom builds, providing everything from high-end fabrics for do-it-yourselfers to cushion restoration for couches and potatoes thereof. As a family-owned business, they promise to prioritize your needs by offering worry-free pickup and delivery. The only thing you have to do is leave your chair long enough for them to fix it! Restaurants, universities, and individuals are welcome to visit the new showroom on Northwest Highway.

Buffalo Wings Get Even More Wild

While Buffalo Wild Wings isn't new to Grapevine, this storefront will be! The brand made a big investment by relocating along Highway 114 to take over a second-generation restaurant pad. Most food vendors are actively shrinking their footprints to reduce overhead, but these buffalo roamed the opposite way: adding almost 500 SF to their overall footprint to make space for more of that socialization we mentioned earlier. Don't worry: Wing Tuesday and Boneless Thursday are still in play.
