News, Blog

Is it any wonder that businesses race to open their doors as the New Year dawns in the Christmas Capital of Texas? This community ended 2025 with the biggest monthly batch of new or relocated companies it recorded all year, with a wealth of retail and entertainment options receiving their Certificates of Occupancy in the midst of Grapevine's holiday hubbub. Here's a sampling:

Former Skate Town Becomes a Whole New World

Grapevine faithful have been watching the old building 2330 William D Tate Ave with eager eyes ever since the longtime owners of Skate Town retired in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic… especially once word got out that a determined local wanted to revive the space. Now, after a months-long buildup, the Galaxy Skate dream is alive and well! Featuring a full arcade, retro vibes, room for parties, and special event nights geared toward adults, this revitalized rink has all the makings of an astronomical success.

A New Retail Collection Comes to Grapevine Mills

There's almost always something new at Grapevine's largest indoor shopping center, but this month brings a series of targeted changes that each have their own special niche. Fans of anime and collectibles have a new option in Kawaii Kollections, while El Palacio offers female shoppers a wide selection of apparel and shapewear. Also notable: Burlington has an updated Certificate of Occupancy, reflecting the downsizing of that space to make way for Primark. In short, you've got plenty of new places to Mill around.

We Stan Dan's Bagels

Despite its specialized offerings, the Dan's Bagels franchise was probably one of our most hotly requested prospects over the last few years. Fans rave about the quality of every scratch-made bite of bread, and weekend lines out the door suggest the Grapevine shop lives up to the company's stellar reputation. Finally, a "schmear" campaign we can all feel good about.

Main Street Does the 611 Shuffle

It's been about a year in the making, but the reorganization of the shops and offices at 611 S Main is almost complete. Children's apparel and retail specialist little orange fish has a new and more spacious home, the Middlebrook Group will be expanding its legal offices, and a series of other leases (Pegasus Senior Living, Rigney Financial Services, Robinson Law Firm) should add reliable lunchtime traffic… just in time for that long-rumored expansion at Weinberger's Deli!

Let's Sweeten the Deal a Little Further

All those new tenants have a nearby neighbor with a fresh facelift, as well. The Sugar Shack – a candy retailer with another location on the Gulf Coast – just opened its doors on Main Street. Boasting an assortment of confections to meet any taste and a bulk candy section that runs almost the length of the store, this new vendor opened just in time to welcome holiday shoppers and families in search of their next sugar high here in the Christmas Capital of Texas.
