'Growing Grapevine' Podcast to Spotlight Locals in 2026

News, Blog
Launched at the end of 2021, the ‘Growing Grapevine’ podcast spent three seasons exploring broad themes and big stories in our community. For 2026, we want to shift our focus from macro trends and big ideas to little details that make this City shine. The podcast will maintain its narrative format, but spend less time tackling big ideas and more time highlighting residents and business owners whose stories deserve to be told with the same level of love and detail.
A few of the stories we've covered in the last three seasons:
- DFW International Airport
- TEXRail/Trinity Metro
- Marquee Hotels such as Hilton DFW Lakes, the Gaylord Texan, Great Wolf Lodge, and Hotel Vin
- Grapevine Mills and Associated Businesses (Meow Wolf, Merlin Entertainments, Fieldhouse USA)
- Historic Main Street and a collection of small business owners who helped to shape it
- Corporate HQs like Kubota, Paycom, and BillyGO
- Internal Operations at City Hall, including Public Works and Planning Services
The first few episodes of Season Four are already set to debut in January and February, but our staff is dedicated to proactive storytelling this year… so we want to hear from you! Which stories need to be told in the months ahead? Are there any themes that deserve a revisit or a more intense exploration? What about a small business owner, student, or neighbor who did or will do something extraordinary? Visit our contact page to send your leads, pitches, and story ideas to Steven Jones, Senior Business Engagement Manager (and podcast host).
Stories we hope to tell in 2026:
- More features on entrepreneurs and startups
- Spotlights for folks who embody the Grapevine Spirit with their hard work, passion, and kindness
- Community and business leaders who can teach us something important about life through the work they do
- Behind-the-scenes details at your favorite shops and events
- Verified information about new projects and developments as they unfold
