Y’all Street opened its doors this week, and Donald Trump was the first customer to walk in.
On Monday, March 31, NYSE Texas announced to the world that it is the “first securities exchange to operate in Texas.” Its first listing is Trump Media & Technology Group, which operates the social media platform Truth Social and whose majority shareholder happens to be the president of the United States.
It’s perhaps not the coup that the NYSE Texas announcement might suggest because Trump Media’s primary listing will remain on the Nasdaq, which is headquartered not in Dallas, but in Times Square. (Though Nasdaq recently announced plans to set up a regional headquarters in Big D.)
