News, Blog

Your friends at Grapevine Economic Development are back again to shine a light on some of the City's newest business openings, expansions, and relocations! The most recent Certificates of Occupancy issued include a variety of retailers, service providers, and venue operators. As usual, we've selected a handful to highlight the diversity and strength of our local economy.

When It Comes to Chocolate, There's Nobody Weiser

Famous for hand-painted confections, Kate Weiser Chocolates fits in perfectly with other vendors in our historic district. Their new storefront is decorated with the exact level of careful panache you'd expect from a luxury chocolate brand, and our staff is already salivating just looking at the manicured collection of seasonal treats. Ideal for client gifts, care packages, and loved ones alike, these sugary masterpieces are sure to make a splash (of color), no matter who you're spoiling.

Phase Advance AI Advances to Its Next Phase

It seems like only a year ago that we proudly introduced Phase Advance AI to Grapevine… because it was literally one year ago. At the time, ‘Phase One AI’ was a new-to-market AI modeling firm specializing in identifying biomedical products worth funding. They still do that, but the company has a shiny new office to pair with its updated brand name. Having advanced to the next phase of its corporate structure, the only question left for this tech startup is which clinical trial to greenlight next. And they are really good at answering that question.

Another Place to Press Paws on Main

Main Street may be famous for its brick-and-mortar, but that doesn't mean online retailers have to shy away. Locally-owned pet specialty store Paws on Main is pleased to welcome pet owners to their new 1,200 square foot showroom. Come browse a collection of grooming tools, leashes, and accessories to spoil your fur baby, and be sure to snag a few treats from Cold Nose Barkery, an integrated in-house line of premium dog treats to take your puppy pampering to the next level. Anything you love in-store can be ordered online, too, which is important because we know your dog loves seeing the mail carrier.

What's More Glamorous Than a Brand New Space?

Humans looking for grooming services need not fret, as Barbera's Glam hair studio's relocation didn't take them far. While Paws on Main inherits the old BG space, the salon team is thrilled to right-size into a studio immediately behind RE:defined Coffee Shop at 200 Northwest Highway, Suite 213. Staff say they'll miss their neighbors in the Historic District, but they're happy to have great access to one of the City's busiest roads. And we're pretty confident that a short walk to lattes and a nearby bakery helped sweeten the deal.

Top the Breakfast Podium with Golden Glaze

DFW-renowned Golden Glaze Donuts officially set up shop at 2646 William D Tate Ave, just in time to offer you Spring Break-fast. Everything behind the glass is made fresh daily, and buyers with a big crowd to feed (e.g. sales teams, conference attendees, a couple of teenagers) will find a quick and easy catering menu for taste profiles ranging from spicy sausage kolaches to glistening glazed donuts or fancy options like eclairs and cinnamon twists. Some may sardonically call that a breakfast of champions. We say: where else can you start your day by going Gold?
