August is more than a month… it can also be used as an adjective, meaning “respected and impressive.” So it's only fitting that August of 2025 would bring us some august new companies. As always, we've curated a list of several different vendors who recently expanded or opened their doors here in Grapevine. Are are five unique new businesses in our community:

Feng Cha is Basically Feng Shui You Can Sip

After months of anticipation, Grapevine's new Boba shop is open and ready to charm you with delicious drinks and delightful decor.  While we can't prove that the duo behind Feng Cha have mastered the art of interior design, you'll feel cozy and ready to connect as soon as you set foot in their store on Northwest Highway. Fun fact: “Feng Shui” translates to “Wind and Water" in Mandarin, evoking the sense of flow it seeks to create. In the case of this company, “Cha" most likely means tea… but depending on the character and tone used, “Feng” might translate very differently. Here's hoping it means “adundant” or “sumptuous,” rather than “the cutting edge of a sword.”

Entertaining You Kids Has Always Been an Art

Summer break is coming to an end, but that won't necessarily stop your kids from complaining about how bored they are. Children's Art Classes probably will. Owned and operated by a former public servant who has dedicated her retirement to serving kids, this studio strives to unlock creativity and inspire action for every kid who walks through its doors at 2040 Glade Rd. It might feel like we're painting with a broad brush in saying, but every artist knows to start with the big strokes and leave the details to a master painter.

A One-in-a-Century Expansion Needs Centurian

Improvements and construction at DFW International Airport are hardly novel, but this year has given us one of the most ambitious expansions in airport history.  Two terminals and multiple facilities are being upgraded now, and a brand new Terminal F is slated to open in 2027. With all that monumental growth, it makes sense for engineers like Centurian Planning & Design to look for local offices. Centurian will be using a suite along Highway 360 as a launchpad for infrastructure and aerospace projects all over the country, with DFW at the top of the list.

Another One for the Bank Roll

Financial institutions have a long and fascinating history in Grapevine, with the building at 1002 Texan Trail playing host to more than one over the last few decades. The former site of Northstar Bank and Independent Bank is now home to SouthState Bank, with a Certificate of Occupancy to prove they've changed more than the name on the outside of the building. They'll be offering most of the services you'd expect – from loans to savings accounts to mobile banking – but with a locally focused twist that prioritizes relationship building. Always a “safe” bet in Grapevine!

Their Casa es Su(s Mascotas) Casa

We're flirting with danger by making this post trilingual, even though no one in this office speaks anything but English fluently. But we're confident nothing will be lost in translation when it comes to Casa Fairview Canines. Their services are straightforward: they move cats and dogs from one home (country) to another so you can relocate or shop overseas without fear of a misplaced pet. Give them a call if you need someone who oversees overseas animals, but please direct any linguistic corrections to our Market Research Manager, whose love of puns far outstrips his mastery of Mandarin or Spanish.
