Velvet Taco to open Grapevine location later this year

It’s taken 11 years, but Grapevine is on track to get a Velvet Taco.
A location of the “funky” fusion taco chain will open at 440 W. State Highway 114, south of the highway near Main Street, later this year, said Sara Schiffer, a PR representative for the company.
The chain, which began in 2011 on Knox-Henderson in Dallas, is in rapid expansion mode, CEO Clay Dover told The Dallas Morning News last fall.
