News, Blog

Fall has a way of shaking things loose in Grapevine, from new storefronts to new opportunities for local kids to take the stage. This month's lineup spans from retirement planning to retail therapy and rebellion to rugged boots, guaranteeing something for everyone. Here's a quick summary of some notable Certificates of Occupancy issued just before the leaves started changing.

Bucketheads Brings West Texas Flair to South Main

After fifteen years of building a following in Abilene and Lubbock, Bucketheads has officially made its first move east, opening a third location — the first in the DFW area — inside Stacy Furniture on South Main St. The family-owned boutique offers women's, men's, and kids' clothing alongside brands like Birkenstock and Back 70, along with jewelry, candles, and home décor. A ribbon-cutting and grand opening weekend are already on the calendar for October 23, but you won't have to wait until then to start falling in love with their boutique goods. Between this awesome new vendor, an upgraded eatery, and a thriving social club, it's starting to feel like Stacy Furniture & Design is its own destination attraction.

NTPA Opens a New Stage for Tarrant County's Young Performers

North Texas Performing Arts has officially relocated its Southlake troupe to a new home base, launching NTPA Grapevine to serve student actors in grades K-12 across Tarrant County. The nonprofit's educational model, built around a "Ten Characters" leadership framework, pairs performance training with lessons in teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence; all backed by a full slate of classes, camps, and more than 25 productions a year. New students can take their first bow at a discount, with 40% off tuition for a first class, camp, or production. Talk about setting the stage for success!

Timberland Laces Up Its First DFW Storefront at Grapevine Mills

More than 50 years after introducing its first waterproof boot, Timberland has finally planted a flag in the heart of DFW, opening a 4,500-square-foot store at Grapevine Mills as part of its first wave of standalone locations in North Texas. The shop stocks the brand's full range of rugged, durable footwear, apparel, and accessories for men, women, and kids, all built with the same leather-boot craftsmanship that made the brand famous in 1973. It's a notable shift for a company that has long relied on wholesale and digital sales in Texas rather than its own storefronts, but a great strategic choice. Why pull yourself up by the bootstraps when there's a City ready to act as a shoehorn?

Housewife Rebellion Pours Art and Attitude in One Glass

A quick glimpse of the Office-Space-inspired banner video on Housewife Rebellion's website should tell you everything you need to know about this art gallery and tasting room. Founder Nicole Heere moved into a pink Victorian home in Historic Downtown Grapevine with a mission to free women from their stress, one happy hour at a time. The urban winery pours its own small-batch wines (Rebel Rosé just medaled for the second consecutive year at Grapefest) alongside charcuterie and pink lemonade, all surrounded by lighthearted "protest art" celebrating fearless women and the tireless spirit behind every thriving family.  Come on in and toast to someone you know is working her glass off.
