It's a big month for dining in Grapevine! While we normally highlight a diverse collection of new offerings at the start of each month, it can be fun to highlight trends when they emerge. And in this case, the trend is a popular one for residents and visitors in our City: new restaurant options. Eateries have long been a staple of the local economy, and we're thrilled to see so many excellent new offerings on the Certificates of Occupancy list this month. Here's a quick glance at a few, plus some notable business happenings (because old habits die hard):

Firebird's Takes Flight with Expanded Offerings

Not long ago, the 400 block along the North side of TX 114 was an abandoned car dealership. Now, it's a thriving restaurant cluster with more projects on the way! Firebird's Wood Fired Grill is the latest concept to open its doors in that neighborhood, joining Velvet Taco and Son of a Butcher. Firebird's is the first full-service restaurant in the neighborhood, bringing scratch-made food and a warm atmosphere similar to other successful restaurants in Grapevine at a more reasonable price. They've also added a special touch: a full-service bar with craft cocktails.

Teatro Aiming to Elevate Main Street Even More

Main Street regulars wanted to know what would replace the old Tap-In Bar and Grill on the north side of the Historic District almost as soon as it closed, and they didn't have to wait long! Teatro Bistro & Cocktail Lounge has transformed the space into an upscale eatery with an assortment of tasty dishes and specialty drinks perfectly designed to cap off a day of adventure in Grapevine. The expansive menu has something for everyone, from foodie-friendly experiences like Chilean Sea Bass and Candied Pork Belly to classic burgers on brioche buns.

Maria's Bakery Brings a Taste of Heritage to South Grapevine

This specialty bake shop might have slid under your radar, nestled as it is at the corner of Timberline and William D Tate. But we're fairly certain that you'll drop a pin in your maps after the first visit: traditional Mexican treats like concha and flan are the stars of the lineup at Maria's, but you'll find cakes, cookies, and croissants for all tastes on offer, too. Grab a friend (or a baker's dozen of them) and treat yourself to something new or familiar.

Mi Mutual Mortgage Moves from Roots to Shoots

In horticulture, growth comes in stages. Some plants take time to put down roots, then shoot up seemingly overnight. Mi Mutual Mortgage has been in Grapevine for years, serving residents and neighbors with direct support as they enter the residential real estate market. Their roots go deep, and now (thanks to a beautiful new building) folks can finally see the fruit of their labor. The nationwide lender just opened the doors to their new home on Northwest Highway, and they're looking to help you find new digs, too.

Sam's Club at the Starting Line

Few companies have garnered the same level of interest in Grapevine as Sam's Club, which recently announced its triumphant return. While the revitalized and updated store won't open until Fall 2024, club members and loyal customers can still shop the grounds: the fueling station is up and running again! Local reps from Sam's Club have made a point to attend community events, and they even ran a membership special for customers who stopped by to pump gas on the station's opening weekend. This definitely won't be the last you hear from Sam's.
