News, Blog

2022 turned out to be another prolific year in Grapevine, with 161 verified new Certificates of Occupancy issued from January through December. All kinds of businesses continue to choose Grapevine, and it's become our monthly tradition to highlight a few of the City's newest vendors as a celebration of the excellence this market provides. Here's a sampling of the cool new attractions that are soon-to-be opening their doors on Main Street and beyond!

Talking Animals Will Lead to More Reading Kids

Grapevine's first and only indie bookstore won't officially open its doors until February 1, but the entrepreneurial duo behind Talking Animals Books have already moved into their new home on Main Street. You can find the storefront just around the corner from Bermuda Gold & Silver, and it won't be long before it's hard to miss: the ladies behind the shop are promising family-friendly entertainment, live theatrical performances, and the perfect environment for turning little ones into literary ones.

Lonestar Popcorn? More Like 5-Star Popcorn!

Name a flavor. Seriously, any flavor. We're pretty sure you can get that in popcorn form at Lonestar. A quick perusal of their site offers everything from the classics (butter and lightly salted) to exotic savory treats (spicy queso or barbecue, anyone?) and even some adventurous candy combos (you know you want to try Banana Pudding or candied cherry corn, right). The new store is open in North Grapevine, across the highway from Rooms to Go and just south of Corky's Gaming Bistro. They'd love for you to pop in.

Building a Better Medical Staff Should Be HireUp Your List of Priorities

You might have heard about a little something called burn-out over the last few years. Assembling a staff is difficult no matter what field you're in, and healthcare is one of the most trying and competitive industries out there. That's why HireUp specializes in placing qualified talent within medical offices all around the nation. Their new Grapevine location is right in the heart of the City, off Texan Trail. Which is good news; you can never have too many doctors keeping your heart strong.

Why Don't Yusen More Freight Through Grapevine?

We've said it before and we'll say it again: Grapevine is at the center of everything. Yusen Logistics has opened a new office just south of Highway 121, connecting our fine city to 350 other ones within a network that serves 47 distinct countries and regions. The last few years have proven that shipping and transportation are essential arts in the modern world, and we're proud to welcome another world-class vendor to the fold. After all, this City is the total package.

If UB in Need of a Better Roof, IB Roof Systems Can Help

Normally, a whole mess of liquids on your roof would be a bad thing. But IB Roof Systems uses a special batch of PVC membranes and fluid-applied solutions to keep your shingling from mingling with anything you'd rather leave out in the cold. Texas weather is notoriously fickle, so having a commercial manufacturer like this in town should help us all feel a little more secure. Be advised: we aren't yet sure if "raising the roof" will void your warranty.
